PLACING ORDERS
How do I get my school access code?
To get your school access code, you must go through your school administrator. We do not provide them for security reasons. If you do not know who your school administrator is please email Revolution Foods at info@revolutionfoods.com and we will be happy to get you that contact information.

I forgot my username or password
To get your username please contact your school administrator.
To get your password, go to the AppleCore online order system homepage, click "forgot password" and enter your user name. The system will email you a new temporary password.

Can I order for the whole year at once?
After carefully weighing the benefits between menu flexibility and order predictability, we chose to keep a system where we are able to offer more choice.

What if I don’t want milk for my child?
Because of federal and state regulations we are required to serve milk with each meal. We may be able to accommodate a request for soy milk if your school administrator approves a note from your child’s doctor. However, this decision depends on the school and their administrator.

Can I buy just the milk and not the whole lunch?
We currently do not sell milk for individual sale through our online system. Your school can purchase milk through our a la carte purchasing system and sell it at the school site. We encourage you to speak with your school administrator about making this happen at your school site.

How can I get a confirmation of my order?
We are working with our web developer to add this feature as a future improvement to the website. In the meantime, if you log-in and click "Balance" and then the blue "view" link under future orders, you will be able to see which orders have been placed. Also, any day on the menu calendar with a check mark next to it, is an indicator that your order has been placed.

When is the order deadline?  Can I change my order?
You can change orders up until the ordering deadline, which is 5pm on Wednesdays for the following week. This ordering deadline should be indicated at the top of the menu/calendar page when you place your order. To change an order prior to the ordering deadline, you can just click on the day you want to change the order for, and change the number ordered. Make sure to click on Save>Calendar or Save>Next to save the change.  Because all our food is made fresh daily, we cannot save or freeze ordered meals for later use. Therefore, we are unable to cancel an order once the deadline has passed as the item would be wasted.

PAYMENT
How do I submit payment?

For customers who pay the school:  on the Order tab (calendar menu page), click on the “Payment Instructions."  This will give you school-specific payment instructions and should answer all of your questions.
For customers who pay Revolution Foods: on the Home page, click on “Account Balance” and then “Payments.” This will allow you to increase the balance of your account to allow you to place orders.

How long does it take for my balance to reflect my payment?
You are not paying Revolution Foods directly, you are paying the school and they upload the information into our site. Sometimes there is a delay between the time you pay the school and when they upload the information to our site, however, this delay should not affect your ability to order and receive lunches. Your school administrator is in charge of updating payments so s/he is the person to contact.  Please contact us at info@revolutionfoods.com if you need his/her contact information.

What happens if my child is out sick?
In the unfortunate circumstance where your child falls sick and you have ordered a meal for the day, we do have to still charge you for that meal. Our ordering system charges for meals that were ordered and delivered whether or not they were consumed. Because we are not on site when meals are distributed we have no ability to monitor consumption and therefore, once the ordering deadline has passed, your account will be charged. Because all our food is made fresh daily, we cannot save or freeze ordered meals for later use. Therefore, we are unable to cancel an order once the deadline has passed as the item would be wasted. We hope you can understand our situation and are hopeful that this will be a very uncommon occurrence.

What is the minimum payment amount?   (Applies only to customers who pay with a credit card)
Most of our parents order at least $50 at a time, so with careful consideration we decided on that as a minimum amount. We will certainly log this feedback as we track all feedback and use it to help guide our decisions as we move forward. We hope this minimum is not preventative and are thrilled to be serving your child tasty lunches each day!

MENU

How do I locate the vegetarian or dairy free options?
When you click into any given day's menu, you will see a "veg/dairy-free options" link under each entree.  Clicking on this will display the vegetarian (broccoli icon) and dairy-free (anti-cow icon).

When are the next menus coming out?
Our menus come out monthly, with one month advance notice. For example, we publish the December menu on November 1st. This gives our customers good visibility while still allowing us to respond to our families’ feedback and keep our commitment to menu innovation.

Sometimes I get an error message when printing.  How can I fix this?
You are most likely using an older browser version.  Please upgrade your browser to the most recent version.  For instructions on upgrading your browser, google the phrase "download Internet Explorer" (or substitute the name of your browser).

FOOD

Can you accommodate my child’s food allergy?
We offer a vegetarian and dairy-free option daily, but unfortunately we are not currently set up to offer allergen-free meals. We use wheat and oat products quite regularly, as well as products such as teriyaki sauce and soy sauce that may not be OK for a gluten-free child. The following meals do not contain wheat, rye, oats or barley: nachos with beef, bean and cheese, chicken tamales, her roasted chicken with cheesy potatoes and our chicken enchiladas. We cannot, however, guarantee that they are allergen-free as there may be traces of gluten that come in contact with these meals in the production process. We are not a certified gluten-free facility. For severe allergies, we do recommend that students bring their meal from home. For some schools, we may be able to provide an out-sourced gluten-free meal, but there would be little to no variety in the menu options and it would not be made by Revolution Foods. If you are interested in this outsourced meal, please contact your school administrator for a medical statement form to be completed by your child's doctor. The form should then be submitted to the school, and the school will forward it on to Revolution Foods.

How do you determine your portion sizes?
Our meals are planned in accordance with federally set guidelines for the National School Lunch Program which dictates menu planning and nutrient content. Across a week's average, we are required to provide lunches that meet 1/3 of the Recommended Daily Allowance for school-aged children. Please remember, our meals include milk and fresh fruit. These two items along with the entrée, are part of the caloric count.

Where can I find the nutritional information for your meals?
We do not currently publish the nutrition facts for our meals, but if you have questions about a specific meal, please send them to nutrition@revolutionfoods.com and we would be happy to answer you directly.
