A Message to Revolution Foods Customers from Amy Klein, Executive Chef
We wanted to respond to the beef recall on product from the Huntington Meat Packing company. In response to the FSIS (Federal Safety Inspection Service) report regarding the processing practices by Huntington Meat, Revolution Foods wants to let our customers know that our meat distributors and processors have not purchased meat from this meat packing group. We source and pay for a premium product.
At Revolution Foods we believe that all students deserve access to the very best ingredients from the very top sources. We work hard to keep our students safe and provide them with meals that help them achieve. We are thrilled that you share the same conviction and partner with us to make this happen! Below is our minimum meat standard and we only source from suppliers that can provide such a high quality product for our meals.
Meat Supplier Commitment to Quality and Safety:
Meat that is labeled and marketed as 'Natural' must not contain any artificial products (food coloring, preservatives, and/or water for example) and must also be minimally processed as defined by the USDA. Our Natural Beef products exceed the USDA standards.
• Antibiotics or growth hormones are never administered to the cattle
• Animal byproducts are not in the cattle's feed
• Feedstocks are tested to ensure that residual herbicides or pesticides are not in the food chain
• All of our 'Natural Beef' products are graded USDA Choice or higher
